HoldTight Solutions congratulates Mike Moran of Protective Coatings Epoxy (PCE) Systems and his team for winning the 2021 CoatingsPro Contractor Awards! And congratulations also to our friends at Alpine Painting, the runners up in both 2nd and 3rd place!
Chrysler Plant
We were pleased to have been a small part of making this project happen. Protective Coatings Epoxy used HoldTight 102 with a Wet Abrasive blast sytem to control flash rust and achieve superior surface preparation.
The project took place at a Chrysler factory in Warren, MI. The final coating used was PPG Novaguard 840.

Mike often tells his crew “surface profile without cleanliness is nothing.” In his opinion, to get the maximum value for your coating you need a clean surface. That’s why he likes to use HoldTight 102 after blasting to remove blast media, salts, and other contaminants before coating application.
Runner Up
The CoatingsPro Contractor Awards runners up were Alpine Painting in New Jersey. On their job painting a Holt crane in Gloucester, NJ, they used HoldTight 102 as well!

Their other prize winning job was a dirty job at the Bear Swamp Hydroelectric station in Florida, Massachusetts.

HoldTight also featured Alpine as one of the winners of our annual Contractor Community Champions (C3) awards. You can read more about why we recognized them here.
We are humbled to be in the company of such greats!
