DISTRIBUTOR SPOTLIGHT

Whether you are an end-user or distributor of HoldTight, there is a universal sentiment.

“You know the difference once you see it!”

This month we have a quick Q&A with Andrew Steinmann – Sales Manager for Allredi in Duluth, GA.
He is a longtime partner and has great insights to share.

Andrew Steinmann – Sales Manager

How did you first come to get involved with HoldTight? What was the reason that you chose us?

I dealt with Peter Petkas on a limited basis when our clients had a need for a rust inhibitor. I was one of the early pioneers selling the vapor blast equipment technology as a distributor for EcoQuip when they were privately owned. That is when the business with HoldTight really turned on. This business grew to a point wherein Corrosion Specialties had 26 rental EcoQuip machines in our fleet. The beautiful tag along complimentary product was HoldTight. HoldTight provided a solution for our clients.

How does HoldTight help your company achieve its goals?

HoldTight provides solutions for our clients as a salt remover and as a rust inhibitor. HoldTight sales have provided an excellent and very profitable source of revenue for our company.

Why would you recommend HoldTight to another distributor?

HoldTight has a proven track record. In the world of vapor blasting saying HoldTight is kind of like saying Kleenex or Xerox. There is brand recognition backed by fantastic technical support and service.

Can you recall an “A – Ha” moment when you first saw the difference that the use of HoldTight made on a project?

We provided several EcoQuip machines for a rental at St. John’s shipyard in Palatka, FL. They had a ship in dry dock and the mission was to remove all the coatings off the hull. The client was using UHP technology to remove the coating. They had an interest in the vapor blast technology and rented the machines. The paint manufacturer had a coating technology designed to go over surfaces that had been prepared with UHP and that had been allowed to flash rust. The paint manufacturer absolutely did not want a rust inhibitor such as HoldTight 102.

We provided the rental machines and as always we provided the technical training and start up. One of our rental machines had a water tank that was full and so happened to have HoldTight 102 in it. We performed the training to the client’s satisfaction and blasted several hundred square feet of steel.

We left and two weeks later the shipyard contacted me and told me the steel blasted during our start up training was still white just like the day we blasted it. A-HA!!! A marine coastal environment and the steel is still white!!
